Could someone please advise us on HPV typing.

We received a request for HPV typing on tissue sent to us fixed in 10% NBF
and our questions are:
can it be done on formalin fixed tissue, what is the procedure (stain?), is
it sent out to what entity (a genzyme, a Unilab)?
