Joyce,
I will not ignore you.......Yes, we do charge for touch preps performed
by the pathologist.  We use the CPT code 88104 (cytopathology, fluids,
washing or brushings,  except cervical or vaginal; smears with
interpretation).  We stain them with our frozen section stain technique
and then they are interpreted by the pathologist.  Most often, we do
touch preps along with a frozen section on lymph nodes).
