processing cassettes

From:"Vickroy, Jim"

Awhile back we started using a "turbo cassette" from Micro for our fatty
tissue since it was thought that the extra slits would facilitate better
flow of chemicals when processing. We since have added a new cassette
printer from Surgipath and started using there cassettes. Surigpath says
that their cassettes have "small prongs" that keep the cassettes farther
apart during processing and that we might not need the "turbo cassettes"
anymore. We also run our fatty tissue now on a longer processing schedule.
The "turbo cassettes" are not consistent in size so that at least 30% do not
fit the cassette labeler. Does anybody know of another vendor for a
cassette similar to the Microm "turbocassette", and what has your
experiences been with fatty tissue and tissue cassettes? One more issue is
the extra cost of the turbocassettes.
