Hi Carolyn,

We have used Meditech's electronic signature for pathology for about 10
years now with no problems.  One advantage is that the pathologists can
do a batch sign out of all their diagnosed cases for the day and they
are immediately available in PCI.  One of our pathologists has the
dictatypist print a barcoded copy of each report to his office and,
after reviewing, he barcodes them in and signs them out.
Reports  that have been signed out print automatically at scheduled
times in the Lab office and these hard copies are sent by the clerical
staff to the appropriate physicians.
