Air-drying cryosections

From:NIDAL E MUVARAK

Hi everyone. I have sectioned some lung and artery tissue (preserved in OCT) and left them air-dry at room temp for two days. This was not done on purpose; our -80 freezer was being serviced and there wasn't another one anywhere near. Anyway, after two days, I put the slides at -80. Does anyone think that this will cause any problems with my immunostaining, or even with other histological dyes (e.g. sirius red, VVG, etc)? Thanks.
