we routinely do giemsa for h.pylori here. it is fast, clean, and less expensive than silvers or immunos, we have had no problems with it. I do not believe there is a "standard of care" for H.Pylori, severe infections can routinely be seen on
H&E and very often are diagnosed that way, without any special stains. I guess it is what makes your pathologists most comfortable.               Dana
