Re: Fw: Artisan Stainer

Nope- one run at a time. A run with 20 immunos on it takes about 2.5 hours.

How about the ability to have more than one run on at a time? If you start
one immuno run, can you add immunos as they are ready to run? Also, I have
heard that Dako purchases antibodies from around the world and doesn't
validate them here in the US which can cause inconsistencies.

I have been running this stainer for 2 #189# years now (and extolling its
virtues here on Histonet for as long :=) It really is fun to use -the
special stains are beautiful and now that DAKO has purchased the platform-
the sky is the limit with IHC. Cytologix in the past and now DAKO are
constntly upgrading it with continual improvement. This machine has it all-
compact small foot print, intelligent waste stream management, IHC and
specials together on the same platform running synchronously, very
dependable (few minor leakage issues with reagent packs). Antibodies not in
their menus can be retrieved and incubated off the machine and then run on
the Artisan for detection. I love it. Don't ask me about cost- they had it
when I got here and I didn't have to worry about it. It is a workhorse and a
pleasure.
