RE: slide and block retention

From:Stacy McLaughlin

Slide retention for CAP is a minimum of 10 years for slides, and I think it
is the same for blocks. This is for clinical application. I'm unsure of a
forensic protocol.

Subject: slide and block retention

Hi all.

I think this topic was addressed not too long ago. Forgive me for not
paying attention. What is the CAP standard for saving blocks and slides?
If anyone else out there is working in a coroner's office/crime lab setting,
I would like to know what your retention protocol is. Thanks.
