RE: endogenous Alkaline Phosphatase

From:"Allen, Steven"

I have used levamisole to block suspected endogenous phosphatase. I use the
Vector ABC-AP with vector red chromagen. They claim that levamisole will
block tissue alk. phosphatase, but not their enzyme used in their kits. You
just add a drop of levamisole to the Vector Red chromagen solution. I did
notice a slight reduction in background staining when I started using
levamisole. I am staining FFPE rat and human tissue.

Subject: endogenous Alkaline Phosphatase

Any suggestions or methods to block normal occurring endogenous Alkaline
Phosphatase in tissue during IHC staining.

Note: I am not asking about blocking endogenous peroxidase or blocking
endogenous biotin.
Thanks in advance,
