     I missed the beginning of this thread; be careful though, is the JCAHO
     inspection for the whole hospital or just the lab specifically? If it's the
     latter, you need to follow the guidelines given by CAP also, as well as
     those from JCAHO.
     If it's a hospital-wide inspection, you are unlikely to see anyone from the
     inspection team, apart from perhaps a walk through.

       I have to agree with Roxanne,
       JCAHO just wanted to talk to management for less 30
       minutes.  Basically, blood bank requests and autopsy
       authorizations/does the pathologist invite or inform
       the clinician the cause of death. If it wasn't for the
       meeting, you would not know a JCAHO team was around.
