I worked in a lab where we stained 1400-1600 slides a day. We used Richard
Allan hematoxylin 1, and tossed it out at the end of the day. I used the
same stain in a smaller lab in the evening and maybe we stained about 400
slides at night. The hematoxylin lasted about a week. I used automated
stainers in both labs. Hope this information helps.

We are using a premade hematoxylin, how  many slides are you able to stain,
before, you should change it.
