3 techs...100-200 blocks per day is our average.Immunos are sent to our
affiliate hospital,after cutting.We assist in the gross room .We do several
special stains.....We only need 2 full time techs and one part time.But we
have 3 full time..During slack time procedures are updated..qc/qa, help
cytology in processing..We do not help cytology unless we have slack
time..On days where there are only 2 of us.There isn't any time to do the
little things...Filing slides,send outs,asst with gross,update
procedures,and instrument maintenance..etc...For a lab doing 200 or less
blocks perday 2 full time and 1 part time would work well...
