Re: JCAHO information
My input on JCAHO inspections: When JCAHO came through our
lab this past January they were just as thorough as any CAP
inspection I have been witness to. They had an hour scheduled to
spend with us and that hour + was spent in the lab.
Very big on documented calibrations: timers, thermometers,
scales, pH meters.....
Very thorough inspection of all temperature logs, maintenance
logs, procedure manuals, expiration dates on solutions,
documented testing of alarm systems on our -70's, etc....
For us JCAHO did a thorough inspection - always best to be
prepared.......
