I have worked at two different hospitals that have the Jung XL stainer.
Both were very reliable and didn't have many mechanical problems at
all.  Maintenance is minimum.  At one hospital in addition to the H&E
staining we set up several special stain programs.  They worked very
well but you do have to use more than your usual volume of reagents and
stains.  I like it very much.
