Cutting very fatty tissue is always a difficult task. The CryoJane
Tape-Transfer system makes it possible to cut a frozen section of pure fat.
The difference is that with the CryoJane process the fatty section is
supported and captured on a cold tape-window that is adhered to the
blockface. The section on the tape is then adhered to an adhesive-coated
slide. The adhesive is polymerized to a plastic and the tape is removed
leaving the section securely anchored to the plastic layer.
