Re: ETOH/ Xylene Recyclers Input Please

From:Bill Tomko

Hi Stacey,

I have serviced the B/R equipment (among many other brands) in the Carolinas and Virginia, for over 10 years.  I can tell you that the B/R systems have really taken a quantum leap in reliability.  My service business would not survive if I depended only on the new style B/R units.  I feel like the Maytag repairman.  Plus I had no idea they were that much cheaper than the CBG units!

Subject: ETOH/ Xylene Recyclers Input Please

Histo Friends-

I'm wondering about the quality of Alcohol & Xylene recyclers from company to company.
Is anyone using these?  Is there a reason the CBG is approx $6,000.00 more than B/R Insterments?
I know CBG's distilling tank has a flat bottom while B/R's bottom is like a funnel draining all reagent out of the distilling tank.  It seems like to me it would be difficult for CBG's  to empty completely & keep clean on the inside having the flat design.
Also I have learned, the hard way, not to use recycled xylene on my processor.

Does anyone have any imput on there preference for or against recyclers and if using one which one is it.
Pros & Cons input would be much helpful.

Thanks,
