Nancy,

I had the same type of staining using Luna's procedure. I modified it and
had very consistant results everytime I did the stain. I will email you a
copy of the stain if you like.

Subject:  Bielchowski stain (Lunas method for neurofibrils, axons and dendr

I'm having trouble with my Bielchowski stain. There is a weird artifact
around the edges of brain sections that have been stained.
It stains lite with the neuclei staining black and as you move inward on
the
section background turns darker and nueclei stains brown?? Anyone out there
that can help me....PLEASE DO. The procedure I use is Lunas method. It
doesn't always happen either.
