We use the Verhoeffs elastic stain out of the Dezna Sheehan/Hrapchak book
(Theory and Practice of Histotechnology)except we only leave it in the
Verhoeffs solution for 10 minutes. It always comes out beautiful. If you do
not have this book, you need it. :)

Does anyone have the procedure for the Verhoeff-Van Gieson technic
that they would be willing to share with me. Thanks
