technician and/or researcher

From:"Dr. Allen A. Smith" <asmith@mail.barry.edu>

Half of my doctoral training came from Dr. Montagna's technician, Nicholas
Roman. Nick was not only a superb technician, he was an inveterate
tinkerer. Much of his tinkering style of research rubbed off on me.
Nick's great triumph was his AOV (acid orcein-Verhoeff) stain for elastic
fibers in paraffin sections and it's adaptation to frozen sections.
