Re: non-histology topics

From:Anila Syed <syedab@totalise.co.uk>

Hi all,

Just a suggestion:

On some of the other mailing lists I belong to (gasp! there are ...*other*
mailing lists???! :) They have a convention where they put [OT] in the
subject line for an off-topic thread, or it is inserted into a thread that
is rapidly threatening to escalate into an off-topic. Then, for ppl who
don't want to read or don't have time that day, it is easy to filter out
these posts into a separate folder to read in lighter moments, or even
delete them from the server so you don't have to suffer at all - or in some
cases pay to download irrelevant information.

I think it is pleasant to find out about ppls' weddings, babies etc, and
even have jokes and stuff, but if you are not in the mood or don't want to,
then you can sort them all and hit delete.

Anila
