RE: Reagent to keep slides overnight...

From:Laura Lewis <llewis@cellmarque.com>

Noel,

Cell Marque carries a reagent called Prolong which stabilizes tissue to
allow substantial preservation of antigenicity for up to 30 days when
used as a storage medium for tissue that is refrigerated at between 2-8
degrees Celcius. Slides may be placed into Prolong for storage at any
point following deparaffinization and prior to application of the
coverslip mounting medium. If you have any questions please give us a
call at 1-800-665-7284.

Subject: Reagent to keep slides overnight...

Hi all in histoland! I have a question that I hope y'all can answer for
me.
Is there a product that I can use for preserving my pretreated slides?

Friday, one tech here had pretreated several slides and instead of
staying
here and finishing what she had started, she left them for me to run.
Turns
out I ended up staying here until 8 pm so that the slides didn't ruin
AND I
missed my date. I would have rather run these this morning with the rest
of
them. Is there any way to store pretreated slides for an extended period
of
time....at least overnight?

Thanks in advance!
Noel
