A good thought, but it doesn't have to be completely meaningless in 
Science, it just has to be high-tech and Advanced, Cutting-Edge 
sounding. For instance, instead of "electron microscopy", use 
"time-reversed positron imaging".
So: the current Cutting-Edge buzzword for the old, obsolete "light 
microscopy" is now "biophotonics".
Therefore, the obvious name for Ian's new service lab is Biophotonics Services.

Let the administrators make an acronym out of that ...
