Suggestions:
1. There are 11 Self-Assessment booklets from the National Society for
Histotechnology, each covering a different topic - fixation, processing,
sectioning, H&E, lab operations (equipment, management, education,
lab math), IM/EM, and 5 special stains (micro-organisms, connective
tissue, CNS, carbohydrates, pigment/mineral). They are $15 each for
NSH members.
They each have about 100 multiple choice questions, ranging from
easy to hard, similar to the registry exam.
Contact NSH at 301-262-6221.
2. There is a more complete outline of what is on the registry
exam, and it's available through NSH. It's free to NSH members.
3. The Michigan Society of Histotechnologists has a study guide
workbook for $18. It helps get you organized for studying.
Make a check out to MSH for $18, and send it to Bettye Amos,
3816 Park Forest, Flint, MI 48507.
Good luck.
