Hello Gang,
One of the postdocs here found an ad for Streck's S.T.F. fixative.
She would like to know if any of you have tried it, and what do you
think of it?
It's promoted for use with ISH applications, yet is not a
crosslinker. It's my understanding that denaturing fixatives are not
good for ISH. So what do you suppose this stuff is? Is zinc
considered a noncrosslinker (it doesn't form covalent bonds, but
rather joins through metallic complexation bonds)?
Curious in Oregon
Karen
