I just posted four pages about the medical poem of Salerno (Regimen Sanitatis
Salernitanum):

This is an 11th century Latin medical mnemonic verse, as translated into
English in 1608 by Sir John Harington, the inventor of the toilet ("The
Metamorphosis of Ajax"). His translation - to which I've added some notes -
is quite funny. This was a book I read about in an old history of medicine in
my father's medical library when I was a kid, and I just got hold of a
reprint of it from an old book auction online.
