Hi Shar,
As an afterthought to my first reply. Have you watched the
coverslipper dispensing the mountant ?? It occurred to me that you may have
a fault in the machine, and perhaps '30%' of the time it isn't dispensing
any mountant. The slides would look OK until the clearing agent evaporated
and then the coverslip would fall off. Just a thought.

Dear Fellow Histonetters:
I have been running into some coverslipping issues regarding my glass
coverslipper. I have tried a number of mountants and solvents without yet
I still have coverslips that are falling off (not as bad as the previous
tape coverslipper)about 30% of the time. For all those of you who own a
glass coverslipper what type of mountant and clearing agent do you use?
Have you experienced or seen this before?
Thanks in advance!
Shar
