Ian,
We have 3 Energy Beam (now distributed through Microm) microwave and use
them daily. Any commercial microwave will work. The reason I suggest
commercial is because of the venting. You can process biopsy and cell block
samples in 15 minutes as long as the sample is no thicker than 1mm. If you
have any questions you can contact me at the number below. I will be giving
a workshop with Jan Minshew and Andi Grantham at NSH. We will be processing
on at least 3 different instruments in the workshop.

Subject: Re - Microwave tissue processing

Dear Histonetters,
Our Lab is in the process of examining the
possibility of using a microwave tissue processor to enhance such things as
breast screening i.e.. to give the result of a proper biopsy rather than
relying solely on FNA 's .Does anyone know of a web site and source for a
Micromed Microwave processor or equivalent and does anyone use a Microwave
tissue processor routinely.
Thanking you in advance
