FYI, EA-50 and EA-36 are the same; EA-50 was the commercial designation,
while EA-36 was the designation for those making the solutions themselves.
Since my other half is a cytotech, I have reference materials available.
I cannot find my reference, but at one time I believe Eosin Y was referred
to as Eosin Azure, separating it from the darker Eosin B. ?Perhaps from the
metallic sheen of the dye powder?
