Carrie Cartwright asks: >>Can anyone give me the protocol for making
Davidson's fixative and any information you may have on it?<<
Davidson's fixative contains 3 parts water, 3 parts ethanol, 2 parts 37%
formalin, 1 part glacial acetic acid. (John Kiernan has recently pointed out
that the mixture doesn't contain enough alcohol, comparing it unfavorably
with a well mixed Martini.)
