Hi Marie,
We have 2 Leica 1800's. The only time we have problems with thick-thin
cutting is if the knife is loose or perhaps adjusted to tight. When you a
doing MOHS, the cryostat door is open for extended periods of time. Perhaps
the knife holder is warming up. When you go back later and everything is
cooled down, the problem goes away. Just some thoughts.
Best of Luck

Subject: Leica 1800 cryostat

Hi,
I am looking for people who use or have used the Leica
1800 cryostat. Have you had any problems with this
cryostat? I have been using it in a Mohs surgery lab
for the last six months and have experience thick and
thin sections from time to time. I can go back and
recut the sections later with no problem. What is the
problem? Please help if you can.
Marie
