Hi there

In the Histonet digest I have been following the recent discussion on
endogenous peroxidase blocking methods. One of the suggested methods
involved mixing acetone and hydrogen peroxidase to deal with fixation
and blocking in a single step. The mixing of acetone and any strong
oxidising agent (including hydrogen peroxide) is to be avoided, this is
listed in an old BDH handbook which I have as one of the major
incompatibilities likely to cause violent reactions.
