Dear Lori and Histonetters:
I have reference information regarding a "neat" technique of lifting tissue
sections or stained smears from slides and replacing the specimens on new
slides. Multiple slides of a highly cellular smear can be prepared for study.
I have two references that outline or demonstrate the technique and there
is another one by Parula Mehta published in Applied Immunohistochemistry,
but the exact reference I don't have at this time.

References:
Jimenez-Joseph D, Gangi MD: Application of diatex compound in cytology: Use
in preparing mulitple slides from a single routine smear. Acta Cytol
30:445, 1986.

Sherman ME, Jimenez-Joseph D, Gangi MD, Rojas-Corona, RR: Immunostaining of
Small Cytologic Specimens-Facilitation with Cell Transfer. Acta Cytol
38:18-22, 1994.

I can fax copies if you send an e-mail request.

Histologically yours,
Daisy
