Hi Pam,
We've been using the Leica CV5000 for just over two years now.
It uses glass coverslips, and we've had no major problems with it (
touch wood ). A few minor problems mind you , but these have been easily
rectified. We use it along with the Leica stainer, which obviously uses
the same staining racks, but there is an adaptor for the Shandon
Varistain racks available. Not sure about the racks of other stainers
though.

We would like to automate our coversliping. The pathologist is dead set
against one that uses tape. Could anyone give me some input on the ones
that put on a cover glass. I would like to talk to anyone using one but
would also like to hear from any vendors out there. I also would like to
talk to anyone who is using a digital camera on their EM scope.
