Sally Ann,
For Microglia, we use OX-41 from Chemicon (MAB1407) at a 1:10 Titer with MW
antigen Retrieval.
Alexis,
We routinely do large amounts of both mouse and rat carotids. We fix with
10%NBF for approximately 24 hrs. We have fixed these specimens for up to a
week with no problems. We do overnight processing holding tissue on the
machine in 70%, then use 20 min each - 1 x 70%, 1 x 80%, 2 x 95%, 3 x 100%,
2 x Xylene, and 2 x Paraffin (1 hr. each). We cut cross sections of the
carotids and do H&E, Elastin and a panel of IHC markers. Please feel free
to E-mail me directly if you have any questions.
