DAPI is the abbreviation for 4'6-diamidino-2-phenylindole 2HCL, a
fluorescent probe for DNA.

Can anyone tell me what DAPI stands for? In reading an article, a

stated, tissue coverslipped
with a DAPI containing aquas (actual
spelling) mounting media.
