Hi Arlene,
The method we use is -
Fix in Wolman's solution ( 5% acetic in ethanol ) 10 secs in microwave
( on high )
Hematoxylin ( Harris's ) 30 secs
Blue in sat. lithium carbonate
Eosin ( 1% in 1% calcium chloride ) 45 secs
Note: The microwave is an 800W domestic microwave ( high = full power
)
