I actually have two different questions to ask. The first is: What
companies are offering an automated special stainer for routine special
stains? I know that Ventana and Biogenex have one. Are there any others
out there? Does anyone have any experience with them? I would really like
to hear from you. Secondly, I am wondering how many people are putting a
control (for routine special stains, not immuno) on the same slide as the
test tissue. I am particularly interested in whether you have ever noted a
case of microorganisms migrating from the control to the test section at the
bottom of the slide? Thanks!
