Three in my staff confronted that situation (not simultaneously!!) and I tried to rotate each to tasks with much less exposure. On the other hand our monitoring system always came as "0" (13 ppm / hour) which is approximately 9% for xylene STEL and 13% for xylene TWA exposure limits.
  I always found that reasignment of tasks is the best solution but it requires a strongly implemented crosstraining program.
