Research Use Only Antibodies
In talking with someone from CAP (College of American Pathologists), we are not suppose to be using RUO antibodies in clinical settings. You can validate them all you want and put a disclaimer on them, but you can still get into hot water. They suggest that if you decide to still use them (RUO antibodies) that you first talk with your risk management and legal departments, so when the hammer comes down, you're not alone.
The reason they only mention IVD and ASR labeled antibodies, is because no one should be using RUO.
Any good CD23 and Inhibin antibodies out there that are IVD?
