RE: Transcriptionists

Transcriptionists

I believe I would request that your HR dept do what is called a "market survey" in which like positions are surveyed throughout the region. Ours does it annually and sometimes salaries get adjusted quite a bit! Salaries are considered confidential so we can't share this information.

Good luck! j

Hi Histonetters,

I have requested this awhile back but did not get much of a response.  Hopefully some of you in the southern region of the country,  and states surrounding, can help me with this problem.  As the southerners know,  the salaries in this part of the country are low....but they are especially low for Pathology transcriptionists.  Some hospitals out-source this position but our pathologists prefer having them in house.  They do much more than transcription.  Anyway....if any of you can share salaries, for this department, in your area,  it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
