Is the problem with the stain or is it with the frozen section technique? Try freezing the tissue as rapidly as possible, fix the sections in methanol or formal-alcohol and then stain.
OR Upload some pics to Histonet so that we can have a look.

I am trying to find an H&E protocol for staining frozen brain sections cut at
7 microns. I have tried to stain the samples using the same protocol I use
for other tissue types but I am not getting good results. If anyone has any
