Thanks for your regards. Obviously,the Gordon-Sweets method distinguish 
between  collagen type I and type III, the first stains brown to purple,the
second the classic black silver impregnation tone. What I am trying to say
is only that I donīt  think this method is the first step on staining
reticulin, and so seems to be the point of view of  old  technicians and
histologists that put it in the category of double silver  impregnation
method. 
Despite of this,I surely accord with you this technique is more sensitive
than others in reticulin demonstration,but this is not Jason answer.
