Hi all:
My advice is not to perform a Verhoeff as a elastic tissue stain.Not only
for the risk of dirty images,but also for a main reason, Verhoeff stains
only elastic
proper fibers,but do not stain elauninic or oxitalan fibers even with prior
oxidation. I highly recommend 
to do aldehide- fuchsin with or without previous oxidation in accord of your
purposes.
