RE: Liquid-based cytology HPV testing

From:"Sebree Linda A."

We are also implementing HPV on liquid-based cytology preps.  We've just gotten through the trial phase with good results.  Our testing is on the Ventana Benchmark.

Joe,
We recently implemented liquid based paps. The hpv testing is being sent out to referral lab for now. There is alot of talk concerning doing the testing in house. Our affiliate hospital does our immuno staining. However they don't want to add hpv testing to the list. Looks like we may be doing them. I will be interested in the replies you get. Keep me informed.

Being politically incorrect as I may be, I was told to ask if anyone out there in Histoland are using the Ventana Benchmark for HPV typing of liquid-based cytology successfully and consistanly?  I just know I'm gonna get some heat on this one.  Thanks
