Subject: Paraffin

Give me plain old Paraplast any day. Paraplast Plus I hate that stuff- contains dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as a surfactant. Everytime I would handle it I would taste the oysters and then get nauseous. With plain old Paraplast we cut lymph nodes and bone marrow cores at 2 microns, GI biopsies, uterus, breast and 2-3 cm long sections of decalled osteoarthritic knees and hips. Very versatile.
I do not think it would hurt anything if you mixed the paraffins al little bit when changhing over. Might even help.
