I have a strange problem and hopefully someone on the Histonet can help me.  My
bone marrow cores are not staining.  This started almost 3 weeks ago.  We fix them in M2 fixative which is a mercury fixative for two hours, wash them for 10 min in running water, decal them 30-45min in BBC Rapid-Cal for immuno, wash them and put them on the processor.  I have been having to retrieve them for two min. in the microwave in dist. H2O to get them to take up the hematoxylin.  This never happened before.  We use Richard Allan hematoxylin and the rest of the slides look great.  I have remade the fixative and tried our old decal and nothing is making it any better.  Someone HELP please.
