frozen sections and Purkinje fibers
Hello--
I have received from a researcher a number of frozen section slides of
primate heart. The slides were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde and are now
air-dried. They want the Purkinje fibers demonstrated.
1) Any suggestions?
2) If I stain these frozens with Masson's Trichrome, do I need to mordant in
Bouin's?
3) Should I start with Alcohol and then hydrate or go directly to water or
directly into a stain?
Sorry if this last question sounds elementary, but we don't do frozens in
this lab. Thanks for any help.
