Re: Waterbath adhesive

From:hymclab

Ellen,

We don't use anything in our waterbaths and haven't for years without
problems. We use distilled water and use Plus charged slides for special
stains, immunos and decals. We stand the slides vertically against the
water bath for a few minutes and them place them in a slide rack and put in
the microwave to dry for 6 minutes ( of course with a water filled urine cup
in the microwave also) and everything turns out great.

Hope this helps!!!

Dawn

Hi,

I'd like to know how many use Halt as an adhesive in their waterbaths. Have
you had good luck with it keeping tissues on your slides for IHC. We have
an
ongoing problem with tissues washing, especially needle biopsies. Any
information you can give will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Ellen Yee
