Carlene,

Kryofix is now called Neo-Fix and is available. This product is from our
parent company Merck, KGGa in Germany.
The item# is 65035-75 and is a 1L size. It is available through many different
distributors. It is also a formalin substitute. We recently have started
importing it which is why there is only one size. If the market requires
largers sizes, we will be happy to accomodate you.

Please feel free to respond to me by using this site or directly at

Dear Histonetters,

Does anyone know of a comparable product to Kryofix (Merck) that is no
longer made. I found on the internet that a similar product is Microfix
(EBSciences) but this product is also no longer produced. I am trying to
find a good alcohol based fixative for microwave irradiation of tissue.

Thanks for any help,
Carlene
