i often use antibodies for IHC which are recommended only for ELISA.  you
usually have to use the antibody at a more concentrated protein concentration
for sections as compared to ELISA.  do some dilution titration studies to
determine what works for sections.  i always start out with a one hour
incubation time for the antibody for sections.
